You can sort a table. For example:

The following are some of the ways to sort a table:

To...Do This...

Sort based on the values in a column or row

  1. Right-click the column or row you want to sort on.
  2. Select either Sort > Ascending or Sort > Descending.
Remove sorting of values in a column or row
  1. Right-click the column or row you want to remove the sorting from.
  2. Select Sort > Advanced.
  3. In the Sort section, select Do Not Sort.
  4. Click OK.
Sort the row, column, or wafer labels into alphabetical order
  1. Right-click the axis you want to sort.
  2. Select either Sort Label > Ascending or Sort Label > Descending.
Remove sorting from the row, column or wafer labels
  1. Right-click the axis you want to revert.
  2. Select Sort Label > Do Not Sort.
Manually re-arrange column or row labelsDrag and drop labels in the column or row headings to manually re-arrange the order.
Sort wafers
  1. Right-click a cell in the table.
  2. Select Sort Wafers > Ascending or Sort Wafers > Descending. This option is only available if the table contains a field in the wafer axis.

The table wafers are sorted based on the values in the selected cell on each wafer.

You can also rearrange the wafers by manually dragging and dropping the labels.

Advanced Sort Options

To access the advanced sort options, right-click a column or row and select Sort > Advanced. The Sort window displays.

The following options are available.

Select the sort type:

Field SortSort fields independently of each other.
Axis SortSort based on the axis items.

Names

Select the field to sort on (only available when Field Sort is selected).

Sort

Set the sort direction, or select Do Not Sort to revert to the default order.

Total & Derivations

Select whether totals and derivations are sorted:

FirstTotals and derivations will be placed in the last position.
LastTotals and derivations will be placed in the first position.
SortTotals and derivations will be sorted.

Display Items

Select this option to restrict the number of displayed items.

First ItemSelect the check box and enter a value to display only the first x axis items.
Last ItemSelect the check box and enter a value to display only the last x axis items.

For example, if you had a table showing customer profits in different regions, you could use this feature to show only the top three regions by profit.

Display Range

Select this option to restrict the number of displayed items based on the cross tabulation results.

Minimum RangeSelect the check box and enter a value to display only items where the value is above the specified amount.
Maximum RangeSelect the check box and enter a value to display only items where the value is below the specified amount.

Include 'Total' Item

Select this option to include a total of all items in the table.

NameEnter a name for this total (for example Total).
Suppress IntersectionSelect the check box to suppress the axis derivation name of the included total item in the table.

Do not use this option in conjunction with row and column totals, as it may result in double counting.

Include 'Other' Item

Select this option to include a total of all items hidden in the table (as a result of the Display Items and Display Range settings).

NameEnter a name for this total (for example Other).
Suppress IntersectionSelect the check box to suppress the axis derivation name of the included total item in the table.
